Paul Akins

Senior member of the workshop team, Paul is a heavy vehicle specialist with an extensive knowledge of trucks and their problems and an absolute commitment to doing the job right. Just don’t break down on the weekend of the Bathurst 1000 as Paul believes this is a religious holiday.

David Menzies

Dave takes the motto of ‘big boys like big toys’ seriously, with a preference for heavy vehicles and a particular liking for dozers and similar earth moving equipment. The term cricket fanatic was invented for Dave, which explains why he gets lots of off-site work during summer – there is only so much cricket the rest of us need.

Royce Ernst

Royce is a quiet all rounder, as comfortable working on the family sedan as your prime mover. Don’t let the quiet exterior fool you however, Royce is our resident rev head, racing his modified production car at speedways across Queensland.

Adam Fea

Adam completed his trade apprenticeship with Hot Wired and has a particular aptitude for diagnostics and troubleshooting those problem cars. Outside work Adam moonlights as a DJ and is apparently quite the party animal.

Rob Loxley

Rob is a quiet achiever, now in the second year of his apprenticeship and showing a real aptitude for the trade, as evidenced by his consistently excellent TAFE results. The quiet demeanour hides a somewhat wicked sense of humour however, with the other tradesmen being the target of more than one of Rob’s practical jokes.

Marie Schirmer

Marie is the friendly voice at the end of the phone and responsible for the smooth operation of the office. Raising four children has provided her with some very valuable skills when it comes to keeping the trade staff in line!
