The problems associated with mixing and matching 12 and 24 volt electrical systems between prime movers and trailers has now been solved through the use of LED (Light Emitting Diodes) lighting. No need for voltage reducers on 24v trucks – almost all LED’s now on the market are multi-volt from 8 – 33 volts, so they work perfectly on all trucks on the road today. All models are water proof, dust proof and vibration resistant and are made with virtually unbreakable poly carbonate lenses. LED’s use approximately 1/10th the power of conventional globes, greatly reducing the load on wiring and especially on trailer plugs – perfect for B-doubles, B-triples and road trains. LED’s can do virtually every job on your trailer – from side lights to tail lights, stop lights, flashers, number plate lights and front and rear position lights. LED’s come in a range of colours: ¨ Single colours – red, amber, clear (white) ¨ Combinations – red/amber ¨ Special applications – blue, green We stock and recommend the LED Autolamps range, which include lights suitable for all vehicle applications. LED’s are proving to be a practical and cost effective solution to truck and trailer lighting problems. Check the range in our online shop or contact us for a quote or further information. |
